Review: Why does everyone make Steve Jobs out to be some kind of genius? What exactly has he done? Largely due to his ego and arrogance, he trashed what could have been a major player in the computer industry, instead of an also ran. He bought Pixar only because nobody else wanted it and only because he wanted their software. And Pixar succeeded because Jobs didn't care what they did and stayed out of their way. Yeah. I see it clearly now. Steve Jobs is a legend in his own egotisical mind.

Review: Steve Jobs, is the next media mogul in the making. I won't be surprised if with the success Apple has had in the past, you might see the New York Times or Sunday Times on your iPod.

Review: Steve has already run away with the online distribution business. We're very close to seeing the iTunes Music service cross the billion songs threshold, and at 8 million videos sold already, they're way out in front in that arena, too. Napster just laid off 10% of their staff. Their money's getting scarce. Notice how long it has been since any of the also-rans mentioned a number? They don't dare, since Apple's numbers blow them all away. The world is shifting to video-on-demand, not the way the cable companies tried to do it, but the way it always should have been. With Apple at just over $72 today, you're not going to see a better chance to buy in to this ride for the next decade.

Review: Something interesting: An observation of Jobs' past shows that he doesn't seem to get diluted or distracted when adding more items to his menu. He seems to get more ideas -- most of them really good ones.

Review: Imagine a themed iMac in every Disney hotel room. On hotel check-in, everyone gets an iPod because it has all the park maps, commercials for new rides, live updates on how long the line for the Tower of Terror ride is, and you can use it to make dinner reservations. With encrypted Bluetooth, it may also act as your room key and credit card while vacationing. Of course, you have the option to buy your iPod when you leave.

Review: Interesting and realistic view. It would be interesting to see if contractual agreements give some hints over a deal between Disney and Apple.

Review: Jobs deserves some credit when he rescued Pixar, and for that he has been handsomely rewarded. But he was never the creative force that drove Pixar. His strength is the integration of contents, hardware, software and digital distribution. I believe Apple will be able to offer great content now that Jobs is sitting at Disney's board and he has the inside track to Iger's ear. If Jobs plays it right, Apple will run away with a successful video online distribution business. No one will be able to catch him.
