Review: Was the author of this piece turned down for a job at the Guardian recently? Reads like it. I'm a new Guardan convert -- having switched from the Times since the launch of the Berliner (and yes, there is a huge difference between tabloid and Berliner). I still get Simon Jenkins (who made the move over with me), and a beautifully designed, great to read newspaper. It is anything but a me-too. And anything but boring. Shame on you.
