Review: @Mike Video editing is one of the most processor-intensive things you can do on a computer.It;s one of the few things for which I still recommend a desktop. I'd go with a Pentium D, with at least 1 GN and preferably 2 GB of RAM. You'll also want lots of drive space--the scratch files you create while editing are big.

Review: Instead of wasting your money on new Windows version, use the one they have now which works just fine. Will save you money AND increase your battery life. Or, go with a Mac and forget about all the silly windows incompatibilities.

Review: In typical MS fashion they produce an OS that obsoletes current hardward. They are just helping the PC industry sell you new hardward ontop of they software purchase you just made.

Review: Or you could avoid Vista altogether and have a world class laptop with a separate high end video card by buying a MacBookPro from Apple.
