Review: Bravo! Oh, blessed one. I read my PublishersLunch just now, and was astonished by the intelligence and prescience of your analysis concerning why Americans are not buying fiction: Most of it is garbage.
Here is a rejection I received for a novel of mine:
Dear Mr. Carter--
Please forgive the long delay in responding to your novel. Summer is going by much too quickly. You're such a clever and witty writer so it is with regret that I say that I'm not confident I can find a publisher for you.
The kind of fiction you write might have enjoyed great popularity in another era, but I'm not sure there are enough readers out there with the sophistication to truly appreciate it. At least publishers don't seem very willing to give this kind of writing a try at the present time. I do appreciate the chance to read the book, however, and wish you success in finding an agent who has a vision for how it might be successfully published.
All best,
Tracy

Review: I enjoyed reading Mr. Karp's interview with Ms. Woyke. I am in the process of writing a book on my experiences with the Department of Veterans Affairs and exchanges that may be of some help to veterans and prospective recruits and possibly change a life. How does one get published/reviewed by someone like Mr. Karp? I came across this article as the result of searching the Internet. I realize that my question my may seem a bit off the wall, since I realize one can pay to have works published, but I was hoping to possibly obtain some insight as to how to get the manuscript reviewed while ensuring against plagiarism. Whatever can be suggested would be appreciated.
Thanks, Joe

Review: I was very interested in Mr. Karp's ideas concearning publishing. Connecting to the author is crucial in the editing process. I have written a book telling the story of a middle-aged suburban housewife (me) who finds herself in circumstances she can't control. She must spend six months in a state prison, and the story is written with humour and a little irreverance. It's a great read! Could you give me information as to how I might contact Mr. Karp? I think this story may be just what he's looking for. Thank You in advance!

Review: Why wasn't The Godfather Returns made into a screenplay for Godfather IV?
Does Mr. Karp know Mary Corleone was pregant and had a child at her death? Would Mr. Karp like to see a Godfather IV completed screenplay with this plot?

Review: As an avid reader of many genres, I often shop by publisher or imprint to find quality books among the masses. I hope Warner 12 will live up to the hype and be a beacon of quality.
