Review: I appreciate that Apple doesn't leak it's new product announcement, but I sure could use a hint. Every few years my company springs for a new laptop for me. Right now, I'm ready to get a Sony Vaio ultralight at 2.5 (perfect for airline travel as the screen height is less than a standard machine). I'll be really mad if Apple announces a Nano laptop a week after I buy my Vaio! :-(

Review: Without pressure sensitivity, tablet PCs aren't for artists, either.
There are several tablet applications in business, like signatures on electronic documents, or in a small meeting for sharing the contents of your screen. Besides that, I'd love to have my laptop's LCD flip around, so I can stay close to my work, but use a full-sized keyboard.

Review: In a past D conference, Jobs said that the success of the company relays not only in which products they do but also in which products they do not do,
So, IMHO, that invalidates the assertion on rumors and products, at least for Apple.

Review: I'm sick of people pushing tablets as a keyboard replacement. I've never met a savvy user who could write faster than he could type. Tablets are art machines, but they're never marketed as such. And until they are, artists are going to get nowhere with them. Imagine an iPad with Alias Sketchbook on it. That would be one sweet machine. And you can bet I'm not using it for philosophy notes either. You could throw it in your bag and take it anywhere you can take a sketchpad. No mess, infinite detail, and any color you want. That's what a well-designed tablet could do for the creative community.
Grr, to be stuck in the shadow of a poorly targeted market.
