Review: Verizon can't even get mobile phone service to work properly, I can't even talk on my Verizon phone in my own house. Anyone that thinks they can compete with the iPod & iTunes on a damn cell phone is cracked.

Review: Apple (and Steve Jobs) just seem to be way ahead of the curve. MacWorld is going to be really exciting this year. iPod's superior design duly noted. Verizon seems to have caved to the music industry's pricing pressure, which Job's is fighting. What just happened to Spitzer's case on price-fixing?

Review: Folks, it's more than just music. It's the library, the "easiness" factor when uploading purchased music or your own CD, getting podcasts easily, and now video (TV shows, clips produced by others, your home videos). iTunes provides more than just the store, but is the link between your computer, your music, and video. That's what many of these other services and devices don't have and will have a challenge to catch up. For me, there's easy integration using iTunes for my iPod and to integrate music in the video I edit. Why change?

Review: Have you ever listened to an MP3 on a cellphone? It's a joke. I have a 400 Sony Ericsson, and it's a joke.

Review: I can't get my cell phone to work everywhere. It reminds me of rabbit ears on a TV. Took 25 years to get it to work properly. Verizon is always the "high-price spread."

Review: So, if you buy one song, it's $16.99 for that one song? There's a reason why "advanced" services have a penetration of 5%--sheer greed of the phone operators.

Review: The iTunes music store has exceeded 100,000,000 songs sold and has a library over 2,000,000 strong. Other stores have a long way to go to catch up, but the right plan can work.

Review: A great deal of my music on my iPod is music I've already purchased on CD. A significant subset of that is music the music industry had already sold me once on vinyl. If 10% of my 5,000 songs are new, then the comparison is 5,000 x $1.99 ($10,000 bucks) to 500 x $0.99 ($500 bucks). Verizon loses.
