Review: I agree to some extent with Yangrouchuan's comment. I also always found the U.S. China Business Council to be: 1. a club for big company CEOs to join to make it appear they are "up on China" 2. a small inner circle of people who control the China Business Review (the publication of the council) who publish a poorly written magazine that acts mainly as an advertising vehicle for the "guest writers" to get consulting business. Most of these writers are very old-style "Beijing government guanxi is the only way to do business in China" types. Also, oddly enough, way back when, for years they almost exclusively hired women to work in the magazine. Hmmmm....

Review: The US-China business council and Am-Cham China are nothing more than people who gloss over the difficulties of doing business in China while steering newcomers towards associates and partners who will provide services at exhorbitant costs.
