Review: The only 2 car accidents my husband and I have been in (1 each) where when we were rear-ended by people on their cell phones. In both instances the other drivers were over 30. And both of the other drivers admitted to being on their cell phones- one texting and the other talking (not hands free). Will it take you getting hit by a person using their phone for you to realize there is a reason for restrictions??!! While you're at it, why don't use tell them to raise the blood alcohol limit and lower drinking age because frankly- in my 20 years of driving, I've never had a drunk driver hit me. I hope that statement sounds ridiculous to you. Just as ridiculous as saying there is no need for hands free cell usage while in your vehicle.

Review: My nephew was just hit by a car yesterday and the first thing the driver said was "I was on the phone and he just came out of nowhere." If she had not been on the phone maybe she would have seen him. She lives two doors down from him on the same street and the families were friends.

Review: i agree with everyone else stating that there are other things besides cell phones that distract a driver... cell phones are just one of many, and no one is going to stop anyways so why even bother?

Review: I got hit, going home, by Cell Phone Barbie and now I feel like I played in the Bears/Packers game over the weekend. After she plowed into me, forcing me into the car in front of me, I asked CP Barbie if I could see her phone. "Why?" she asked. "Let me see your phone." "Why? ....What are you going to do?" "Just Let Me See Your Phone." She reached in her car, got the phone, came over to me, handed it to me. I looked at it and THREW it as FAR AS I COULD. THAT felt SO GOOD. In answer to her question. after I threw it.. " What did you do that for?" I did that for ALL the people that have been injured or KILLED by cell phone users.

Review: It shouldn't be up to jurisdictions it should be statewide so it sends a message that cell phone and PDA usage behind the wheel does not mix. People are getting into accidents everyday because someone feels the need to yap on the phone for the next 5 miles going at a dangerously slow or fast speed because they're not paying attention to the road. We're trying to save people's lives here by setting restrictions on this type of abuse. If people were allowed to police themselves on cell phone use this wouldnt be an issue.
