Review: So far this has been the best 4-wheel drive I have owned -- and I have owned a lot. "No Fear" is what you get off-road.

Review: I love my Hummer H3. I love ripping the idiots that think it gets poor gas mileage. All they can say at first is "bet ya hate filling that thing up". I respond, "gets better mileage than your rig", as they sit dumbfounded. They want to hate it, they are jealous!

Review: I have owned the H3 for two weeks and this is the most fun I have ever had in a vehicle. It's smooth, it's aesthetically pleasing, and a real attention getter. No race car by any means, but no problem for me. This is my first SUV and I think this is the beginning of a long love affair!

Review: I have had my H3 for just about a year, 20,000 miles later, still love it! I love the way it handles, drives, and especially love the comfortable seats. True, the rear seating is tight, but driving is real comfy. Visibility is poor, though. I found that if I adjusted my side mirrors way out it helped. Off-roading is a blast.

Review: This was a better option for me than a Jeep. More room, nice features for the price. It isn't as comfortable as my Odyssey for long distances, but not terrible either. It could use more power, but you just have to remember it wasn't built to drag race. I think I'll be happy with it for a long time!

Review: Thane Peterson here, the BW Online reviewer. Thanks for all the enthusiastic comments. I share Spicer's environmental concerns. But the H3 seems to me to be a small step in the right direction for people who really do need a vehicle that can navigate heavy snow and rough terrain. I also agree with the comment that GM has never before made such good products. Roger, a 6 ft. 5 in. man, may have plenty of room in the H3's front seats, but have you tried sitting in back? Sorry, 818Guy: I didn't note my final mileage on my long trip but I think I got about 20 mpg.

Review: This article pretty much sums up what the other reviews say about this vehicle. I would like to see the H3 get a new engine, maybe not a V8, but one with more power and HP. Also I agree the sightlines can be odd at first as well as the mirrors. However, the 4x4 capabilities are awesome. Now, the previous reviewers that say this vehicle is a behemoth; why don't you look at the Ford Excursions, Expeditions, Tahoes, etc. and then rethink what you say about the H3? Maybe you are thinking about the H2 or H1? A menace to society? How absurd! Maybe the drivers of all large SUVs are the menaces to society and need to go back to driving school!

Review: Everyone that drives the H3, as in this article, loves them. We, so much that we bought one. I get a kick out of Toyota Pious owners slamming any vehicle. How many extra days of work does a Pious owner have to drive to pay the extra money for a car that doesn't get any better mileage on the freeway than the base model? Plenty. We live in the mountains and deal with mud, gravel roads, snow, you name it. We had a Honda Element, and a Mini Cooper. Somehow, it's just no fun coming around the corner with a cattle truck, cow, pig, or bear when you're in a small, lightweight, fuel-efficient vehicle. The hood on the H3 is not an issue, it only seems so. Sit in one and see for yourself. The H3 has outstanding side mirrors. Learn to use them, and the visibility problem is a non-issue. Another great feature of the H3 is its sun protection.

Review: Great article. To the uninformed, the H3 gets no worse gas mileage than the average mid-sized SUV. It will get no worse gas mileage than the Mitsubishi Montero Sport that I have. I am looking forward to having my H3 arrive at the end of January from the factory.
