Review: Google's search is merely the Trojan Horse to the desktop. This is what Microsoft really fears.

Review: Google is seeing the future of the Net. It will not take long before you have relevant searches done by picture, and thus relevant advertisements attached in light video/streaming format, content provided by AOL. Brilliant move, as usual, from Google guys.

Review: The AOL-Google deal just goes to show that how you get to the top is as important as getting to the top. Microsoft has bull- dozed its way to the top by bullying smaller companies around with its Windows monopoly. Now that the technology landscape has changed to the Web, most companies are fearful that any partnership with Microsoft will help them to dominate yet another industry. This is a great lesson to Microsoft and any other major company in a position to use its size to dominate the marketplace: Goliath may be bigger than David, but David eventually became the king.

Review: Google would be taking a step backward by partnering with AOL. AOL is a stone-age Web browser and is made, or shall I say intended, for the computer illiterate. To have that ridiculous running-man symbol pasted all over Google Web pages will only constitute bad branding, nothing else.

Review: Hopefully AOL won't throw in many more features than it needs like it has done for its newest versions of AIM and AOL. It really slows computers down and I have a feeling this will continue to happen with the integration of AIM and Google Talk. It's a good thing that Web sites like www.oldversion.com exists.

Review: In all the coverage, why hasn't anybody asked why the merger didn't live up to the promise? Was it, perhaps, because there was no cooperation between the divisions? Tough to drive change when people are resistant to change and guarding turf.

Review: You mentioned in this article that Time Warner shares have fallen from $100 at the time of the merger to $17 today. That statement is a bit misleading because you do not clarify whether or not there was a share repurchase, a stock split or anything else that could impact the share price.

Review: Anything that slows down Google (as graphical ads certainly will) is bad for me and bad for Google. Seems like Google is selling its soul for the short-term interests of shareholders.

Review: Google and AOL both should prosper with their synergies. Goog forestalls Microsoft and has more media for its ads. AOL is given new life and legitimacy.
