Review: Don't know who to blame. Last year got fed up with AOL & McAfee problems. Went to Earth Link & Spysweeper. One or the other were not user frendly. How am I to know which ports to open to whom, as a newbie? Was that webroot or Earthlink?

Review: Spy Sweeper is a great product and the team that supports it is incredible. I will never use anything else.

Review: Great article. I think the real threat to Webroot, at least on the consumer side, are the free programs that do a great job. AdAware is an example; I run both Spy Sweeper and AdAware and AdAware finds items SpySweeper does not...and it is free. Ditto on the anti-virus front: AVG is just as good -- in fact, in my opinion faster and better -- than Symantec and again, for the consumer, is totally free. Hard to compete with that!

Review: I have been a customer of Webroot since I purchased it online in 2004 from ShopNBC. I liked the product and it caught spyware, stuff, McAfee did not see. I repurchased Spyware and Pop up Washer the next year. I then noticed ShopNBC had the whole 5-pack I think. The 5-pack was used as an incentive to buy a computer system. I like the computer, and I saw the 5-pack for sale at Webroot, and again at Shopnbc. So far, I have the pop Wash and the Anti Spyware. I love them both. I hope a Mac version will become available soon. I stopped using McAfee, and went back to Norton Systemworks. Now if only Webroot did the whole thing by itself, ah perfection. Thanks for the good work.

Review: I have used Spy Sweeper and Window Washer for over a year now, and I want everyone to know that it is one of the best safety programs I have ever installed. They beat them all. I also use Symantec's Internet Security and Anti-Virus programs too. Between all these, I feel my computer is very safe. If it gets a little slow, I run Spy Sweeper and Window Washer, and wow, it is up and running perfect again.

Review: I got infected with Trojan.vundo. My Norton Anti-Virus never noticed it. The threat removal file I downloaded from Symantec couldn't kill it. I finally ran Spy Sweeper and Trojan.vundo died. Awesome.

Review: It's been my experience that Spy Sweeper finds "spyware" that isn't really there. That's how they keep selling thier product.

Review: Another good program that I like to recommend is Spyware Doctor. I had a chance to install both of the programs on my PC and run both of them (back to back) to find some nasty scripts on my IE. Spy Sweeper found 2, while Spyware Doctor found 2 more after Spy Sweeper finished the scanning.
