Review: Messman has done too little too late. As good as Novell software is, and as disctracted as Microsoft is, Novell should have been making good inroads this year. Instead, they are hanging their hat on a single win.

Review: Go Novell. Jack Messman has my vote. He's steered Novell with vision and restraint during its acquisition of the chameleon called SUSE Linux, a very different and strange animal to proprietary Netware.
The bean counters should go back to their carefully planted fields, and let Jack the giant killer play his part in finding the golden goose without interference from them.

Review: It now looks like Messman is "The Man." I didn't like the backseat driving of some of the large ( if you call five percent large ) investment groups who were trying to brow beat him into running a Linux growth business like it was GM and have him trim when he's trying to make sales.
As far as the 600 employees -- Novell is going to need 6,000 employees now that Linux is on a burn path. Let's let success succeed, and let the people who run the business run the business.

Review: Good to see Novell pull up. It has had superior products for so long, we would hate to see it decline.
