Review: I am using RocketVoIp since 6 months now. I have really saved a lot of money since the day I got this service. I am a travelling consultant, I carry this along with me wherever I go, plug it into internet, and boom. I carry the same number everywhere (have tried it overseas too), without counting on my cell phone minutes.

Review: I have had Vonage service for three months and it has been nothing but trouble. Every time I call customer support they tell me that I have an Internet issue. It's not their problem, it's my Internet connection. They tell me to call my Internet provider. Yeah I already know what Comcast is going to say. I can almost hear the Comcast phone service pitch.

Review: We have had Vonage since September and we have had nothing but headaches. The quality is terrible. We have lost calls and messages and had "wierd ghost calls." The customer service is almost nonexistent. When we do get customer service, the overseas help could barely understand us and we could not understand them. Trying to cancel is a nightmare. There is a standard 25 minute wait before you can get to someone. After three atempts I had to call the home office directly. I would strongly discourage anyone from trying to use this service.

Review: I have been using Vonage for over 5 months, with little to no problems with the actual service. There have been 3 times that I know of where I have either not been able to make or receive a call. Outgoing problems are fixed by simply rebooting the adapter and my modem ( I think it is more an ISP issue than a Vonage issue) My big issue is the customer service,or should I say lack of any. We went in full speed attempting to transfer 5 lines to Vonage. It took us 3 weeks to get the adapters so the "free trial" period was all but over before we ever used the service. After 5 months we are still waiting for the number porting to take place. We cancelled the porting of 2 numbers and went with Accessline, they had the numbers ported in 3 days. Vonage said could not have more than 2 numbers on an account,so we had to get 2 separate accounts for the 3 lines with Vonage There is no cost savings over Ver.,we are paying $98 for 3 Freedom unlimited lines with Ver and $82 for 3 lines with Vonage.

Review: We were offered four lines of VoIP telephony at my office free for 30 days. At the end of the period, we loved it, and had none of the problems described in your article. In fact, we got better service, more features, and a lower price than any land-based carrier.

Review: I am suprised by some of the article's comments. I know of thousands of very satisfied customers on quality, price and cost of ownership/customer eperience. I get more dropped calls from my mobile carrier in the USA, than what we get with VoIP. I am not saying that there are no challenges, but what I do believe is fair is to compare existing telecom services such as traditional landline, cellular and VoIP on the tenets above. VoIP not only delivers a replacement service, but give users the full Internet experience of messaging and video. Most traditional carriers use VoIP as the back-end, so the only real difference now is the origination. VoIP is here to stay. There are too many reasons for this next Internet revolution to take place. Feel free to e-mail me if you want to know more on the challenges that we all face on regulatory, non-standard firewalls, and service blocking. However, it is a very exciting time as we see an old industry being reinvented.

Review: I have been using Packet8 from 8X8(EGHT)for almost a year. What a great service. I have experienced no problems with this service. I would recommend it to anyone. The features are great and equivalent to wat you would pay $100 or more to wire companies. Thank goodness for an alternative.

Review: I have been using Vonage for the past year and the service -- both technical call quality and customer service quality -- have been excellent. I love the VoIP service provided by Vonage and have recommended it to many of my friends -- and on top of that I get my own referral fee for bringing in customers. Also the international rates are cheap compared to traditional phone companies. I keep calling my family in India often. VoIP is the future and Vonage is the leader and I am proud to be part of the new technology.

Review: I have had ATT Callvantage service for the last four months. There is no difference in voice quality or speed of connections compared with land lines.

Review: I have had Packet8 for a year and a half now, and most days it is outstanding. It is simply wonderful to pick up the phone while 7,000 miles away from Florida and "dial local." They appear to be suffering from "overselling" as the network has been getting progressively worse. Combine that with their customer service number being outsourced, the Web site referral program failing to send the e-mails, etc. and you have a receipe for disaster. Hopefully they will recognize their problems, the service will get better, and their stock price will improve (I've lost!)
