Review: Neat story! I was looking for a saurkraut site and one thing led to another. Finding yours made me think! Could you make a saurkraut that tastes like the kraut the NY hot dog venders made when I lived there in the 1930's? I have never tasted anything like it since. Yummmm

Review: Both Rick and Allan are examples of individuals who have gone back to basics--bringing alive an era where the loving granny concocts her potions. I see the emergence of traditional food coming in. But the real difference people seek is the exclusivity and designer kind of value where mass produced may lose that appeal. This is something for others who are planning home made tarts and cakes to think of. In the meanwhile, we keep looking for lip-smacking goodies.
All the best to the good, old kitchen recipes and grannies' secret recipes.
