Review: How much longer can Dell last? Are they able to think out of the box?

Review: Better to be a consumer than a vendor in this brutal game.

Review: The computers are decent, but if yours breaks and you have to ask for a technician's visit, you will wish you were dead before you're through. I will never buy another Dell product in my life. I recently bought a $2,000 desktop with extended warranty that turned out to have a bad DVD R/W drive. I spent hours on the phone talking to brainless customer "service" reps in India and Central America. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. I'd paid good money for the extended warranty, and it seemed Dell would rather die than honor it. I finally got a technician to visit after hours of torture, and he found the DVD R/W cable had been bent and crushed in transit to my house. The problem was solved, but I endured endless frustration before it happened. Dell should hang its head in shame and never brag about its great service again.

Review: I have no doubt that Dell will gradually lose their market position:
1) If there is some delay in Intel shipment.
2) Customers are more educated with the technologies now (pricing vs performance). I believe Dell should not dictate the customer's selection on Intel or AMD. This would be an insult to the people!
3) AMD is gaining more and more market share from Intel. So there is no reason for Dell to lay back unless Dell's systems were specifically designed for Intel only!
Don't get me wrong I like Dell & HP systems for a long long time but I lean toward HP for the past two years because of HP supporting both Intel and AMD!

Yaoyun

Review: When you lose sight of customer service, which Dell has, then sales follow.
