Review: I couldn't be prouder of GM. I have 12,500 miles of smiles on my Z06 it out perfroms nearly everything on the road and might be the most fun a 45 year old can have and still stay married. Two months ago I traded my BMW 745 for a Yukon Denali, what an awesome truck, it really has it all. Great job GM.

Review: I enjoy my 2006 Z06 and have taken it to the local track for street car "hot laps" and time trials on two occasions. The car is awesome and runs away from everything on the track. The factory runflats do not support the power of the car under full song so go easy on the throttle. Chevy did it right on this one!

Review: Picked up my 2007 Z06 Sept. 30th, 2006, drove it 700 miles and have put it away for the winter. I drove it very gently during break-in and have not really tested it or taken it to a track. I am very impressed with the tight fit and tolerances on all the panels, the lack of squeaks and rattles, the look of the voluptuous fenders & externals. The interior is nicer looking than I expected (after so many magazines critized it) and overall, while outperforming my BMW M5, the Z06 rides better too and looks much more attractive. The car is an engineering tour de force, with its exotic materials of aluminum, magnesium and titanium parts, no wonder it can outperform Europe's favourites selling for double the money and more. Congratulations GM & Dave Hill!! You have delighted thousands of new Z06 owners. Thank you!

Review: Thane Peterson, the reviewer, here. Thanks to Corvette owners for continuing to post comments. It's great to hear that "Vettes hold up over time. Also, GM may be in financial trouble but the company is making some great cars and needs all the support it can get.

Review: I now have 2,600 miles on my 06 Z06 and I love it! I was smiling when I picked it up on my birthday and still smile every time I run up the entrance ramp to a highway. It is a stunning engineering achievement. Good job, GM!

Review: I have had my Z06 for two weeks and I still start trembling when I climb in and start it up! I have owned and built many hot-rods over the years but nothing compares to the raw power and handling that GM has built into this car! I get thumbs up everywhere I go!

Review: I'm a Swedish Z06 owner and I take this chance to say thank you America! This is my first Corvette and I just love it. Easy to drive around town and still more power than you'll ever need! Five stars is not enough to describe this car.

Review: Yo all, I bought a 05' convertible and gotta tell you I'm pleasantly pleased. I've got a 70' SS chevelle with approximately 600 horsepower. And this car compared to that seems close--in a straight line. Some 9,000 miles since 06/27/05, and I'm lovin it. I'll put some add-ons after warranty to kick up the experience but at this time, first and second gear basically swing the car around, 400hp & 28-30 miles per gal. still beats lots of rice burners. I now look for excuses for road trips!

Review: After just receiving my Z06, the car is everything they said and more. Having a few sports cars way north of the 70 grand number, this car competes with all of them. Coupled with the fit and finish not normally found in American cars, gives you hope for Detroit. It can be done! Thankfully it was done in the Z06 perfectly.

Review: Thane Peterson here, the BW Online reviewer. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to post comments. Clay sums things up nicely: "Does anyone need this car? Definitely not. Does any automotive afficiado want this car? Oh heavens, yes." I also like binky's comment that GM should be proud. The Corvette, Solstice and new Caddies all show that. I'm not sure I understand where Wahoo is coming from, though. I called Corvettes "fun" and "relatively practical." I know it's meant as a gibe, but I'd love to have a Prius for around-town driving.
