Review: My first laptop was a ThinkPad. Then switched to a Dell. Now I'm using a Toshiba Satelite after the Dell was stolen. I'm not happy with Toshiba stuff and I'm thinking about buying a ThinkPad again. IBM computer is an authentic one, while all other brands are made "IBM compatible" -- not really compatible in terms of performance.

Review: As an IBM employee I have found the Thinkpad brand to outlast/outperform all of the other major brands (Dell, HP, Compaq, etc). I was a PC tech for a number of years and the Thinkpad always has the fewest failures and most durability of all machines we supported.

Review: It will be interesting to see how well ThinkPads compete against cheaper rivals in the consumer market. I have always preferred ThinkPads for one simple reason: the keyboard. Typing on a ThinkPad, as I'm doing right now on an X40 model, is a joy compared to any competitor's laptop. I've used 4 ThinkPads over recent years and generally been happy with them all. But for the better models, such as the X40, there has been a price premium. If Lenovo offers ThinkPad quality at competitive prices, their market share could skyrocket.

Review: ThinkPad is a strong brand and a superior product,it will be realy interesting to see how people will perceive a Chinese PC branded "Lenovo." If Lenovo gets its branding right then they are set for great returns.

Review: I've had a IBM T40 for years, and it's a great computer. I am interested in upgrading now. If I can see a Lenovo/ThinkPad in Office Depot (as opposed to ordering one blind), I am much more likely to stay with the ThinkPad brand. Score one for Lenovo.

Review: I used a ThinkPad for 2 years then changed to Apple Powerbook. I think Windows is better for guys working in offices and ThinkPad is a high-quality product which can meet the needs. Lenovo? It's OK.

Review: ThinkPads, for one thing, have the best keyboards. That alone does it for me.

Review: I am a ThinkPad fan and own two of them, and they are great machines, the best laptops I have owned so far. I am kind of uncertain of the direction Lenovo is heading with the IBM brand, so it will be great to have the opportunity to see the "new" ThinkPads in a store before I decide on whether to go for a third.

Review: I've worked at HP and owned Dell, Compaq, and HP laptops. IBM is light years ahead and well worth the slightly higher price. HP and Dell are incredibly problematic and support is lousy.

Review: Dell sells cheap, parts-bin computers and the public snaps them up, then recoils in shock as the garbage they bought is no good. Kudos to Lenovo, I look forward to switching. Dell forced PCs to get cheaper and now wonders why they have so many issues. Boo to Dell for ruining PCs for so long.
