Review: Dear Ms. Rachael Tiplady, I was wondering if there is any way I could get a good contact information for Mr. Stefano Marzano. He is my mentor and I'm trying to contact him but having a rough time. If you have any suggestions, please e-mail me back at luxmi98@hotmail.com.

Review: Allow me to correct Tiplady. Philips' "waxless candles" are for sale. Search for "Aurelle".

Review: Rachel, the fact that these lamps will not be on the market for three to five years is exactly Philips' problem. They are innovative and a great idea and need to be available now. By the time these are marketed by Philips there will a thousand far Eastern alternatives available at better prices. Philips should take a tip from Apple. Develop in secret, buy huge quantities of whatever is needed at a great price (example being 4GB memory chips for the iPod Nano,) and hit the market at a competitive price. This has worked time and again for Apple.

Review: The history of and the design work from Philips over the last 110-plus years is the history of the electrical/electronics industry. If Philips hadn't done it, it would not have been done. Inovation and design from Philips continues to change the world. Very few companies are in Philips class in terms of inovation and design. Market it better in the U.S., and it will be another design innovation.

Review: Thank you for your comments Venita. These LED bulbs are still prototypes. They are part of Philips Design's Next Simplicity project, which looks at concept products that consumers may use in the near future. But there is a possibility Philips will start producing them in the next three to five years. Best wishes and good luck with your interior design business, Rachel Tiplady

Review: An amazing description on how the design is evolving & what it will be in the future. And I agree that Philips has struggled with its marketing as compared to its rivals in Asia, specially Japanese. But I have been impressed by Philips design in recent years and it seems unstoppable. I would definitely buy the book "Past Tense, Future Sense," even though I am a geek. I just can't resist. I wish luck to Philips design for future endeavors.
