Review: I've had an original Saturn SW2 for 13 years now and I agree with those who say you CAN still get the superb Saturn experience. But I also agree with those who say some Saturn dealers are about the same as the average GM dealer (ugh!). I've lived in a lot of states with my Saturn, so sampled a lot of dealers. Moral: you have to pick and choose, but the best of what Saturn offered and still promises CAN be found.

Review: I've always wanted a Saturn, and in 2004 I bought my first "new" car, the Vue. It went through 3 wrecks, saving me everytime, and it always drove like the first day I picked it out. I then turned it in for a VW Bug Convert -- because Saturn didn't have a drop top, well needless to say I love to drive it, but when I got it serviced the dealer destroyed the console - on my first visit. Never was this a concern with Saturn. I'm on the list of the redline Sky and I'm redlining to get it :)

Review: So far I can't say that the Saturn Dealership I am purchasing my vehicle from is anything special. They almost met our budget by offering a used car with a 15 day trial period, on the second day when I changed my mind to purchase the same vehicle but a new model and with my first choice of color. The salesman and management did everything they could to talk us into staying with the used vehicle. It got to the point that they were trying to sell us the car of their choice and not our own. Finally they let me "test drive" the new vehicle and now they are being cooperative with my decision to purchase it. After having to debate with them about changing my mind, approaching another dealership for a second opinion on my situation and calling customer service. As far as I'm concerned there has been nothing special about their customer service and I hope that as we wrap up the purchase that the tide will change. Actions speak louder than words or marketing.

Review: I just bought my fourth Saturn. First a SL, then an LS, then an ION and now the Sky. You won't be disappointed in the Sky or the continued Saturn service.

Review: While our Saturns have been quite reliable, the radio is going in for the third time in six months. The dealer offers free car washes whenever we stop b. However, we have yet to get one car wash as there is always a reason for them not to wash it--even after we arrive inthe early afternoon and drive 25 miles. Three trips, three reasons. Service is easy to book and pleasant to work with.

Review: Watch it, invest in it, buy it, use it. If you don't, and you stay with some of the mainstays that exist now because of their history rather than their what have you done for me lately, and you may get left behind. Saturn won't. Not again.

Review: The truth is that Saturn is the first and only non highline car company to be ranked number one by JD Power in sales and service satisfaction. That isn't a purchased honor like, say, Consumer Reports! True though, over the years Saturn has had nothing but ho-hum product with superior sales and service. But that is pecisely the point the author was trying to make. How do you stay in business and be at least partly competetive when you don't have "superior" product? You do it the Saturn way. And now things have dramatically changed. The new Ion and Quad Coupe, the Vue and the Relay are all competitive, good looking, reliable vehicles. Add to that the upcoming Sky, the Aura, and the big brother to the Vue, which will be a serious competitior to a lot of the larger SUVs, and you have a product line worthy of a Saturn store. Add to that the same service and "people first," surprise and delight attitude maintained for 15 years now, and Jill Ladjak's group have really got it right.

Review: I hope you all know exactly how bad you hurt our economy with that foreign attitude. I challenge you find a stat that says anything about product quality from Toyota, and safety in factories, and the number of factories in the nation... It is time to stand behind American made products.

Review: This story about Saturn reminds me of the story about Nordstrom's accepting a customer's return of steel-belted radials, even though Nordstroms doesn't sell tires. Soon after that story was spread in magazine columns like this, Nordstrom had a years-long "loss" period. Why? Their merchandise wasn't up to snuff. Bottom line: Great customer service or branding can't make up for a shoddy product. And all honest observers will admit GM products--after decades of trying--are still inferior to Toyota and Honda. And speaking of brand building, as a consumer I am well aware of the fact that GM has fought increasing mileage standards tooth and nail. Smog, acid rain, an epidemic of childhood asthma, and a history of oil-driven wars are the result. On the other hand, Japanese car companies have been at the forefront of fuel efficiency and greening for decades and continue to shine with their current dominance of hybrids. Now which actions build a better brand?

Review: First off, as a dreaded sales consultant in the automobile industry, I can tell you that purchasing a Saturn, with the exception of a few dealers that only pretend to "put people first" is the easiest and nicest experience a customer can have purchasing a car. Second, in my experience, a properly maintained Saturn will run just as long if not longer than a "superior" honda, toyota, nissan, etc. I will never tell any of my customers that the big three foreign car makers don't build good cars, because that is not the case. However, I can say that my Saturn will not cost as much money to buy, will not cost as much money to maintain, and will most certainly last for well over ten years. By the way I am not speaking from inexperience, I sold both Honda's and Nissan's for three years and they certainly build a good car. However, in my three years with Saturn I have seen them with over 500,000 miles, and mine still gets 40mpg(hwy) with 80K. No timing belt replacement, runs off chain, too
