Review: The boomer market is underserved in the Internet, but communities are so new in all segments that perhaps we need to see where the traction is, then revisit the issue in six months or a year. It's easy to notice an 18 month old teen-focused community that is acquired for $1.65B, but that is one of the very few that appears to have any real staying power.
Meanwhile, boomers are also underserved in another regard. Boomers' disposable incomes and personal investments are far out of proportion to their (our) numbers. Yet TV networks shun us, magazines want younger, less wealthy readers...
While we may rebuy the same toothpaste, as we age many of us are also encountering products in many categories for the first time.
