Review: Fact is that Oracle's organic applications are improving, and the CRM and HR apps acquired from Siebel and PeopleSoft are best of breed. Before posting comments, please check the Gartner magic quadrants...

Review: Oracle makes good database software, but their applications are pathetic! I don't know how Larry dude can even contemplate matching SAP in terms of functionality, breadth, seamless integration across various modules etc. Oracle Apps is an unbearable stinking piece of software.

Review: Oracle's license growth is hardly surprising given they've acquired $20 billion worth of companies to get there. The 10% increase in database sales is a natural extension of this. I agree this is all momentum play. Based on the past 2 quarters, analysts and the market will have adjusted, higher expectations. Oracle will need to prove its ability to deliver on these.
