Review: Cool little roadster! I think you did an excellent job of building moonbeam, and I'm glad to see that it works well. I would have to build it slightly longer (being 5'9 and needing lotsa legroom!), but all in all, a good and practical design. And probably fun as heck to drive, too!

Review: And what happens when you get hit by an Expedition?
And what happens if the original motor scooter was hit by an Expedition?
This is moot point.

Review: Some of the naysayers, such as mssoot, are missing the whole point; This is how great things often start! This is just a seed, and if enough seeds get planted in thousands of noggins, who knows what can be accomplished. Remember, over the centuries, MOST major inventions came from the mind of ONE individual! I've forgotten his name already, (I'm 80, after all!!) but more power to DIYer, and many more ideas for all!!! Lee Robinson W. Palm Beach. Still waiting for my "HERO" medal for soloing my wife in an American Yankee trainer when she was a 50 yr old Granma!!

Review: If a part-time handyman can tinker together a car in his spare time that gets 105 mpg, just imagine what Detroit could do you if they got serious about fuel economy!

Review: I can't wait to see the DIY car that could hold a family and some groceries and actually drive on the freeway (safely) with 100 mpg!

Review: This looks a lot like a BMW Isetta, which was a single door bubble car built in the '60s that had a motorcyle engine in it. The steering column was mouted onto the door and was hinged for accessing the cockpit. Look one up to see the similarities. Great innovative idea and worth the time to build if people are mechanically inclined.

Review: Wow! What a wonderful place the world has become! Gizmag tells us about an exciting innovation by a friendly inventor, and the comments so far are almost all harsh and negative. Perhaps this is because too many Americans have become rude monster SUV drivers who hate the environment (and therefore themselves).

Review: I love seeing this type of ingenuity. These prototypes are what drive technology. It gets better gas mileage from the original scooter it was made from! Good work!
