Review: The Argentine business environment is increasingly developing, since the depreciation of its currency in 2001. Foreign companies are looking to Argentina as the new India for outsourcing. Call centers in particular are setting up around the capital, with a large foreign population and highly educated Argentine population, call centers can offer multilingual services, for low costs. www.5ca.com

Review: Im a call center agent in Toronto. Its great news that RP's employment opportunity in outsourcing industry is rising steadily The agents in the Philippines are better off than us here in Toronto. While we earn dolars we spend also in dollars hardly enough to pay for mortgage and insurances. Its cheap in the Philippines and enjoyable to work in because of the "fiesta" atmosphere. Here its old, boring no amenities at all. . Iam sure the weak area like the infras is now being addressed to. Filipinos just have to continue to have faith in small beginnings.

Review: As companies seek to move outsourcing services, countries like the Phillipines are competing with other Asian hubs like India, but also with new hub areas like Latin America. Latin America is booming with call centers right now. Why? Same time zone, cheaper prices, easily integrated western culture, etc etc. In Buenos Aires, there is a huge amount of people from all over the world for many different reasons - but they all share one thing in common, they need a job! Call centers attract them because often they can speak to clients / customers in their own language. Companies like 5CA are owned by people from the netherlands but headquartered in Buenos Aires.

Review: Outsourcing is taking off worldwide. Even in Buenos AIres I am noticing the increasing number of people from the U.S. who are relocating here in to either start-up or relocate their technology businesses.

Review: Davao City is the premier outsourcing hub of the Philippines. Davao City has the infrastructure, peace and order, and skilled manpower pool from all over Mindanao. I work at Mynd Tech Management Services, an outsourcing firm based in Davao City, Philippines.

Review: You wonder, with the billions of dollars spent here each year in the outsourcing sector, why hasn't it improved the living standards of its employees. Read the article in Manila times Friday May 8, 2009. ADB declares that the living standards of the Philippines is 175 years behind the developed world. I guess it is hard for the Managers and owners to see though with all the smoke and mirrors in Makati and Ortigas. Step outside of that safe zone and enter into a world that has fallen 50 years behind Indonesia.

Review: Yes we do tend to attract a lot of great talent... too bad it is limited. As for the local call centers, the talent they are getting, or settle for, is absolutely horrible. Try calling bayantel or ordering a pizza from Pizza Hut and you will see what I mean.

Review: In terms of communication and sheer customer engagement skills , the Philippines is miles nicer than India or China or any other Asian country. I live in a city where Indian BPO companies like Wipro have started putting up offices. Filipino talent is simply incomparable.

Review: While the numbers confirm that the offshoring and outsourcing industry in the Philippines has grown phenomenally since 2001 and while BPAP is working to ensure that it continues to grow in the coming years--our target is to reach at least 10% of the global offshoring market by 2010. This is still just a fourth of India's current 40% current global market share.

Review: Accenture Philippines is the prime example of the Filipino talent for BPO. Look at Accenture Philippines right now compared to India, China or any country for that matter and no one even comes close in terms of delivery, customer service and the right solution.
