There seems to be a huge void in the Google approach to television addressability. I would be very surprised if they are not approaching INVIDI Technologies a targeting company that already has deals with both SAT operations. Google needs to move quickly if they ever want to be relevant in this space

RIMM as a merger target? take a look at Notifylink and buy it. Why? 1. Itâ??s, like BES, enterprise grade, recognized by Gartner in the Gartner quadrant, 2. Always access to mail, agenda and contacts is a must, while Webaccess (Gmail) will never do this as â??alwaysâ?? connected is a non-realistic slogan3. The local, mobile client has to be (granularly) manageable and secured in case of loss, and other security issues. They have to BEAT MSFTâ??s Activesync to become as good as RIMM4. It will give GOOG an instant enterprise level connection to almost all possible email collaborations suites (look at that list!!!), including their own Gmail.5. Can be deeper developed as well. GMobile (Notifylink) client for Android ?6. â??Notifylinf on demandâ?? is a cloudâ?? that could fit seamless into the Gmail cloud.

Verizon could be interesting because they are bringing fiber optic to consumer doorsteps. I have previously heard that Google was buying up dark (unused) fiberoptic capacity, which was most of it. Adobe is big in the on-line video space.

YouTube was a brilliant acquisition. Facebook might be a great choice now.

Everybody denied to comment. Then why were these names mentioned in this "story"? This did not deserve the headline, even for an hour.
