Although they are not journalists and have to be communicated with in a different way, I find them extremely fun and worthwile working with becuase they really bring a personal perspective to product reviews. Across the board the ones I work with have integrity, honesty, passion, and are professional.

Obayoo Aug 1, 2009 3:55 AM GMT Mommy bloggers excel because they are the women that actually use the products that today's women and mothers need the most. It's honest and open communication at it's best - something that seems to be lacking in today's marketing over-kill.

The CMO had millions of dollars to spend, but instead reached out to less than 10 influential mom bloggers. The ride quickly became the most successful in Disney history...and the millions of dollars wasn't spent.This is a very cost-effective way to build awareness of your brand through enthusiasts who have big followers. But, like Karen says, be transparent and don't try to get one over on them. If they don't like your product, don't throw a stink. Kelly Jun 11, 2009 12:17 PM GMT I can attest to the power of mommy bloggers - as a new mom myself, I had no idea which baby products were truly valuable, and which weren't. Several of the products I bought (spending a bit more for) on recommendations from mommy bloggers have become my favorite purchases. It's a win-win-win, really, for marketers, bloggers, and moms needing info.

Thankfully, the lion's share of our experience has been overwhelmingly beneficial and positive and having our ducks in a row certainly has helped enourmously when fostering business relationships in the momosphere and beyond.

Mommy bloggers are good advocates because they try and test products, they manage the household and so are able to form informed opinions about a lot of things, especially pertaining to parenting. :)I am a mommy blogger myself.
