d Jan 12, 2011 5:57 PM GMT I wonder why farid is trying to make this program? He would probably make more money with ADOBE as his partner. I can not see Law Enforcement or Civilian Computer Forensic Specialist using this software anytime soon. There is some forensic software out there that will perform this function. In addition, he seems focused only on Photoshop. Good luck.

Lilian Jan 10, 2011 8:36 PM GMT Well, sometimes I take photographs of my events and at times I use Photoshop(PS)to increase the brightness, crop, color balance etc. So when I do that, would Farid's system say my images are fake?Also if I modify a photo using PS and manipulate it, make it full screen and screen capture it and save as a jpeg from MS Paint etc,will it not recognise that as fake or manipulated?

Frank Richo Jan 10, 2011 4:13 PM GMT too easy for this alleged technology to be exploited. If the D.A. wants you in jail all they have to say is "we tested the photographic evidence and our software tells us that it's been manipulated with Photoshop" and then you're screwed.Additionally, Photoshop is used too resize, crop, adjust color and contrast and millions of other things that don't affect the validity of evidence. So just because someone opened an image in Photoshop and then saved it out of Photoshop doesn't mean they are tampering with evidence.
