Vienna May 16, 2012 11:07 AM GMT Whoever wrote this is pulling a stunt. The south valley is notoriously the most dangerous part of Albuquerque. The center of gangs and heroin use in an already dangerous city in the second most dangerous state in the country. I worked at an elementary school there where we regularly saw guns and drugs. You do not want to raise children here.

Sarah M Mar 19, 2012 9:09 AM GMT Best place to raise kids in MO is Farmington??? Are you SERIOUS? I have lived there my whole life and the school system is the WORST. I was physically beaten up EVERY DAY for 10 years of my school life. The teachers did nothing. It caused me major mental issues and required alote of counsiling. These people here are cruel. I lived my life dreaming of escaping from this nightmare of a town. Drugs are a big problem there too, and many girls getting pregnant in Middle/ High School. 2 people here have killed themselves its so terrible. DO NOT RAISE YOUR KIDS HERE. Anywhere but here.

Being a lifelong California resident, I (as are many other residents) am well-aware that raising your children anywhere near LA is less than ideal. There are so many other towns/cities that are less expensive, safer & less polluted than this unfortunate part of the state. By reading other comments, this article does not appear to be accurate at all.

Dani Dec 17, 2011 1:49 AM GMT This claims that the best place to raise your children in NM is "South Valley"? First of all, that's not even a city, it's a community, and second,... NOO! Very dangerous, English is the 2nd language, the schools are pretty terrible. This is crap.

m Dec 14, 2011 8:40 AM GMT Just relocated from South Florida to WinstonI love it here, very slow paced, polite people, love the country roads, seeing nature farms its a entirely different way of living here, I think I will not be moving any time soon, the weather is the best and the kids are very happy here, gotta get use to a few things, but overall I am so happy it made the list. Good job

BE Dec 11, 2011 3:16 PM GMT About Pendleton Oregon being a great place to live...For such a small town there seems to be stabbings constantly. There has been a lot of murders in the past few years. I hear gunshots constantly in this little tiny town. School system really is not that great. They would rather teach math than teach the kids how to read. Doctors/hospitals.... Not good at all! The water is YuK! We are right next to the biggest industrial polluter in the state..so air..YuK! High gas taxes. Nothing for a family to do. The restraunts are either overpriced or not worth eating at. There are TONS of nice parks...that are not well kept. A buisness will come in..and be gone the next time you go back. There is really no work available unless you want to work factory work (and it seems to be difficult to maintain stable employment in these factories) Every worker is expendable. I dont know who voted this town the best to raise children in Oregon... but there are PLENTY of better places than here.- A family in Pendleton Oregon

KC Nov 23, 2011 3:02 AM GMT Troutdale, Oregon is a great place to live! There is a Home Depot within two miles, low crime, and a great MOMS/DADS club of Troutdale that you would find to be a real asset! This is not even to mention that we are right on top of the most famous Columbia River Gorge, Multnomah Falls, and the other zillion falls that you can drive to or hike to. AMAZING hiking here. GREAT place to raise a family. I am so glad we moved ours here from Michigan years ago!

Anthony Nov 10, 2011 12:12 PM GMT I am looking to move to Oregon but not sure where exactly. I am a stay at home dad and a full time student. My wife is a full time Home Depot MeTT team associate. We have a 1 month old daughter who will be entering daycare and soon kindergarten. Any suggestions?
