What i would do if i were jobs, is offer some type of incentive or discount towards a new Apple product in exchange for the used apple products such as iPods,iMacs, Etc. Then set up some type of recycle program.

@LarryDude.Apple are making cleaner and greener products, and reporting more meaningful numbers, than the competition.Greenpeace admitted last year that they unfairly focused on Apple to get publicity. Most environmental agencies and NGOs rank companies by what they promise to do in the future, not what they are actually accomplishing. In short, Mr. Stirling, before you feed the fire of unsubstantiated statements, get the bloody facts.Thank you.

Mr. Jobs,Just make Apple's footprint smaller and quit whining about the competition. Producing less pollution is better business, resulting in a better bottom line.Given Apple's green promotion of its new computers, I'm surprised and disappointed that Apple isn't among the world leaders in being green. You need to walk the talk.

What's wrong with good PR? PR is always manipulated - but shouldn't we be glad that we live in a country where good PR is allowed? Some countries expect companies to behave like the "party pooper" - the person that never smiles when the camera is on.

I think Apple is on the right track, and when Apple does something, they definitely do it right. The more power consumers realize they have, the better our companies and suppliers will inevitably be, and therefore our environment.

If they want to be "green," Apple should quit leaving the front doors to their retail stores wide open in the summer time, blasting A/C into the world.

Yes, Apple is definitely moving in the correct direction. I would urge them not to bend to Greenpeace or any of the alarmists that want them to put their view of 'green' into everyone's package. Placing measurement on the amount of energy your products use is the way to go. Every time I am forced to use a Dell, IBM, etc., I am shocked by how much heat is produced by the horrible machine and how much energy it must take to drive the massive hardware (fans, etc.).
