C W Fletez Oct 8, 2009 6:42 PM GMT It has long been my belief that people who are well educated here in the USA and come from other countries have a duty, an obligation to return to the countries of their birth and contribute to their country's welfare. Those countries paid for their initial education..why should they not reap the benefits of their learning?

Colin Clarke Sep 22, 2009 7:37 PM GMT Rob get a life ... yes some immigrants have brains, but so do some Americans .... It is a good thing that people return to the land of their birth and spread what they have learned in America ... I have many Indian and Chinese friends and what most of them soon learn is that to be a success certain intangibles are needed ... only time will tell what will become of returnees until then we Americans are glad that we could assist people with brains develop. It seems to me that you should say thank you!

Rob Jun 2, 2009 7:45 AM GMT Very soon the US & Obama will learn that without skilled work force the US will cease to be an economic powerhouse. Lets face it - The immigrants are the ones with the brains and without them US of A will not stand united ......and will fall!

Tech firms faking job ads May 10, 2009 4:20 AM GMT Tech firms faking job ads to avoid hiring U.S. Workers? Hewlett Packard has been accused of advertising for jobs it has no intention of filling -- at least with US citizens -- on the Idaho Department of Labor Web site. HP is allegedly posting fake jobs online and in newspapers to fulfill the requirements of Uncle Sam's Program Electronic Review Management process. Resumes come in, Americans get winnowed out, and the PERM job goes to Enrique or Sanjay or Vladimir. Meanwhile, HP recently announced it's slashing 24,600 employees as a result of its merger with EDS, half of them employed in the States. According to SiliconValley.com, "HP said it plans to replace about half those jobs with new positions performing other functions." It will be interesting to see how they define "other functions." Of course, HP is hardly the only company suspected of doing this. Cisco has been accused of running similarly bogus ads.

Abhang May 3, 2009 10:06 AM GMT Seems plausible to me isnt it? I am a Masters student with about 3 years of exp in US now in India. The situation there did not seem favourable to me. And here I get my family and a a higher post in the company than that in the US.
