Guerra's on the right track, but surely Lewis Hamilton, the first Black F1 World Champion, is worthy of inclusion??

Interesting....I guess Sepp Blatter (FIFA President) who also oversses the World Cup (2006 cumulative audience, 26.2 BILLION), Bernie Ecclestone (Formula 1 Boss) who presides over an empire that spans the globe (and whose cumulative audience per year iw no in the 50 BILLION range), Michael Schumacher (retired F1 driver and the msot successful one to date), Ronaldinho (Braziiian socecr player...enough said), Jacque Rogue, etc., etc., etc. You should have called this report "The Most Influential People in Sports From our Paroochial US Perspective". Guys...stick to business! Let the pros handle sports.

Joseph Blatter is undoubtedly the most influential sports figure in the world... but he doesn't even make the top 100? Embarrassing.

This list should be called the most influential people in sports in the United States only. Its a bit like calling it the World Series when no one in the world other than 3-4 countries actually watch the sport

My bad just saw Wayne Gretzky no 65 on your list, but the other I mentioned aren't there and that's cool, these players I mentioned where just the best in there Field, not shakers and movers but the reasons why shakers and movers are where and who they are...

What about Cal Ripken, and Ken Griffey Jr . they both saved baseball, and played the game like it was supposed to be play, as a game. You've forgotten about the "Old timers" lets say Wille Mays whom I consider the greatest Baseaball player of all time. Not to mention "Pistol Pete Maravich" Divison 1 all time leading scorer ( And my personal Fav) and everybody seems to forget "Jerry West Mr. Clucth" or hows about "Bob Beamon" the man who could fly so com'on if your going to do this then be fair and do it right. The sports world has so many greats that I can imagine how hard is to make a list but don't forget the "Great Ones" 'Gretezy; The great one" comes to mind, and I don't even like Hockey but give due process to the truth...

Drew Rosenhaus? He should probably be on the list somewhere, with over a billion dollars in players' salaries negotiated in the past few years.

Boring Boring is the best term for the PGA without Tiger Woods Presence. He is the power of sports figure on the course or off. If there is any doubt, please chwck ratings scale..With the economy today you will need him to help hold the PGA tour in tact and survive.
