Eff Ford! I hope they fail and collapse under their own weight. Electric cars are the future and the first manufacturer that produces an affordable electric with stats similar to the Tesla, will be rich and put the Big 3 out of buisness. It torgues me that they are still making money on our ignorance.

Unbelievable. Even if diesel's so heavily taxed, with a few modifications diesel engines can be made to run on vegetable oil! I've even seen examples of vehicles running on recycled deep fat fryer oil...We're never going to get anywhere while people are so narrow-minded.

Business Reasons? Kick Back and Mafia tactics of Opec, Exxon and the rest of the schmucks that run our automotive industry...why don't they grow a pair?

I will never buy a ford, chevy or any other American made again. Period, That was the lamest excusses I have ever heard. They helped to create this mess, now they can kiss my ***.Shipping would cost less than 2 k per car. the facts are that we have a middle class, and they want to destry it with gas prices and taxes on it.

It's just like 'Who Killed the Electric Car'. GM had a winner in the EV1 but, because of it's special interest in owning parts companies, oil stocks, etc. that conflicted with eliminating the combustion engine, it chose to kill it.If Ford brings that car to the U.S. there will be a backlog of people waiting for this car.Americans are ready for that car NOW!, not later. Later there will be electric cars to compete with, later Ford will have lost its opportunity! When these large American car manufacturers neglect the American market in favor of the European market they will find that the American people will not support them. Will will consider them traitors of America.I will never buy a car made by GM, no matter how good it is! They have lost me and others when they killed the electric car.I will also never buy a Ford again (I have had four) if they do not bring in this beautiful car into the U.S. market NOW!Later will be too late for me and others like me that have been waiting for a car like this one.I will do business with car companies that want the business of Americans first and foremost. Later someone else will have taken the lead.

If diesel is so unwelcome in the US how come there is a waiting list at least a month long for the VW Jetta TDI??? Why are the US automakers so determined to drive themselves into bankrupcy?
