WOW!!!Oasis of the Seas is deff. going to be an amazing sight to see as she pulls into Port Everglades next fall. I hope to sail on the Oasis very soon, and even though I prefer the smaller ships to the larger ones any day; I feel that the experience will be one to remember. Congratulations RCCL and keep up the good work; ALSO, maybe a few more ships in the Radiance class would be better than any more in the larger ones.. Think about it!

Wow, this sounds like about the 11th circle of hell. Spending a week in a mall/hotel with 5300 other people? Then trying to disembark from this mall? No, thanks.

Bill, did you read the previous comment? The ships GRT is 220,000 tons which is interior volume. The weight of the ships are 105,000 tons, only 6500 tons heavier than an aircraft carrier.

Project Genesis ships, (which will be Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas) will be approx. 220,000 tons. Way more than an aircraft carrier. I believe that those are around 95,000 tons.

The writer meant to name Queen Mary 2 not QE2. So much for good research! Also, an oceanliner is a cruise ship.Hhhhmmmm.Oasis of the Seas will weigh (displaced tonnage) 105,000 tons while a Nimitz Class aircraft carrier is 98,500, full. The gross registered tonnage is estimated to be 220,000 tons.
