E&J Gallo lol. I moved from California to New York two years ago and I work in a Liquor store, and I'll say that company is terrible when it comes to advertising on the east coast. They do great on the west coast, but they do a lousy job at creating a demand for their proprietary products. Naturally I'll wait to see if customers start asking for it before I carry it.

Not sure why they are quoting the beverage testing institute and insulting Double Cross vodka. All reviews for that vodka say it is one of the most neutral vodkas that can be mixed and tasted in the drink the least of any vodka. As for BTI, they gave vermont white vodka a 93, that stuff is made from milk and has a strong taste of it the same way vermont gold made from maple syrup does. Clearly neutrality has nothing to do with their website or reviews.

It's no myth, ICEBERG Vodka from Canada is made with PURE ICEBERG WATER harvested off the East Coast of Canada!!! ICEBERG Vodka is the only vodka in the World with a REAL difference. The cheap vodkas being poured into the market are nothing but tap water and distilled grains (in most cases these grains are unfit to feed live stock. It takes very little effort and time to bring these cheap spirits to market. Only ICEBERG takes 12,000 year old ICEBERGs and real Canadian Sweet Corn to make its vodka. On only true Premium vodka on the market. The boys at Imperial make no claim of quality only that they are preying on the consumers with a promise of SIZZEL and not steak.

Vodka is all about marketing and getting drunk quickly. Very few have actual taste. Karlsson's, made from potatoes, is only distilled ONCE and has a unique, almost chocolately flavor. Delicious.

The brand L'CHAIM kosher vodka may have a clever name, but don't dismiss it or associate it with the others mentioned. The product is made in Israel ( you'll be hard pressed to find another spirit made ther!) it is BTI "highly recommended and as I understand it the water comes from a single source making it a very consistent tasting high quality product favored by master mixoligists that prefer to use it so that their ingredients are emphasized and not clouded by a harsh after burn and taste. And yes it does have a pretty cool marketing campaign besides. Check out the site www.lchaimkoshervodka.com

It is unfortunate that marketing and advertising have ruined vodka's image, but I can tell you from experience (15+ years behind a bar, 5+ working for brands) the base of the product and the distillation process are far more important to taste and character than marketing. Keep some of the heads and tails to extend your yield, and you'll have a less expensive product with a little burn and plenty of hangover. Cut INTO the heart and you get rid of the lower alcohols and only keep the best, the ethanol. Organic, estate grown ingredients, multiple distillations, no filtration, and extreme cutting are certain to create a product of higher quality, taste, and character... one that is necessarily more expensive. Three tests: 1) put a little on the inside of your wrist and blow on it. Touch it with your finger. If it's a little tacky, that means they have added sweetener. 2) Put it in your freezer. If it gets syrupy, that means they've added glycerin. 3) Drink a LOT of it. Make sure to hydrate (16oz H2O for each 2 oz serving.) If you have hangover in the morning, that means they included lower alcohols in their final cut. It's that simple.

How can something that is colorless, odorless and tasteless get a rating?? If it has none of these things how can it get a rating??? what's be rated?? Wake up!!!! Vodka has a taste, and an odor, anyone that says differently is naive.
