Look at the blue hat, the kFC bucket is too big, lol, not only was it photoshopped, it was submitted to National Geographic as a fact based photo?WOW! National Geographic just lost A LOT of credibility in my book if at all true, unless this website took that image and added KFC and $2 baseball hats to the picture... still dumb...."Randy Olson/National Geographic Stock" ?????

Art Apr 23, 2011 4:20 AM GMT As a 'Bama Boy who has lived in Tokyo for over 20 years, let me say you can find ANYTHING in Tokyo. May not be many people interested in the American South here, but you can always find one or two. Personally, I've "survived" 20 years without any Southern style in Tokyo. Not sure I need any now.

Book Club Cheerleader Apr 22, 2011 2:40 PM GMT Kathy Patrick (and her Pulpwood Queens book club) is a force to be reckoned with! She has helped to make more than one author’s career blossom—and not just Southern authors—but writers from California to New York—and Random House recognizes her power and pizzazz. Her middle initial is “L”—and I believe that stands for Literacy! Go Kathy!www.bookclubcheerleader.com

R Apr 22, 2011 12:17 PM GMT We are all Southerners now.Pre-Civil War income disparity was great. Durable goods were "imported" from the North. Employment for the middle class was diminishing as slaves were trained to become "engineers" to compete. Northern banks were charging 9% for credit. Northern merchants were middlemen and competitors for the agricultural output of the South. The only thing missing was cost-push inflation caused by punishing tariffs at 30% to 50% on imported goods. Wait, we have speculators imposing punishing cost-push inflation.
