Mark Dec 17, 2010 9:10 AM GMT This idea won't fly like Bush Jr tried to privitize Social security and allow Seniors to play the market at 70, 80 or 90 years old.Sorry Verizon, ATT, whoever but this 52 year youngster prefers the VOICE than text. A LOT easier to use then thumbing through the alphabet for the specific letter I want.

Squeezebox Dec 16, 2010 12:38 PM GMT Why text when voice is cheaper? Besides, you know exactly what the person means.

markmarks Dec 15, 2010 7:35 PM GMT A few years ago, I loved the impressive deals you could find on eBay but that has changed now. I started to search online for a site where I could get myself a good budget price on high priced items and came across this site. Not your typical cheap deal scams. This place is really like a new eBay. Its my new addiction lmao. Go to SwipeBay.com

Stephen Dec 15, 2010 2:58 PM GMT Wow... can anything stop the boundless greed of Verizon, et. al?They're wasting their time! Seniors don't want it, don't see the value/trouble in it, and most importantly, don't care. They MIGHT be able to sell to the late 50's demographic. Beyond that, wheels are spinning.

Linjelly Dec 15, 2010 10:08 AM GMT I really think Cellular carriers needs finger to bone to make this ideal into reality. The buttons may be big enough and so does the screen. However, the message must be a mess to the elder when there are too many words,as elders are not good getting message logically as they were young. Thus ,they may not be able to input what they want to say correctly but with some superfluous words, which will leads to another situation that is the elder will be tired of typeing yet younger doesn't get what the elder said.So , as to me, persuadeing more people over 50 to send text messages is a good ideal, however , I do not think it can be a huge market, only for some elders.

Craig Old Guy Dec 12, 2010 12:00 PM GMT Pick up the phone and call or email me. Can ya see granny or grampaw' texting at the wheel! Some twinkie is trying to create a need where one isn't needed. Maybe the author owns stock in one or more of the carriers mentioned. This story wasn't worth the time it took for me to read the text, glad it didn't show up on my phone.

Mike Dec 10, 2010 5:03 PM GMT "Yet each text costs carriers less than one-tenth of a cent to send..."That's theft.
