Why Americans Don't Trust the Media Oct 20, 2010 10:57 AM GMT BBW, I've enjoyed the new look and feel of the magazine, but I'm very disappointed you took a legitimate topic and turned it into a hatchet job. After seeing the cover photo it appears the magazine is taking design insipiration from Nazi propanganda. Shame on you for abusing your influence.

mojonator Oct 20, 2010 9:43 AM GMT Ridiculous! It is, in fact, Bloomberg that all businesses fear or should fear.Factually, incorrect that Tea Partiers hate big business. It is BIG GOVERNMENT. Think you might understand that after all this time?

Captain Oct 20, 2010 9:05 AM GMT not a suprising run at condemnation, being as that these work for and his views. The media is running around like a bunch of mice trying to find cheese hoping to find something to turn voters off of the conservative movement that not only threatens the Democrats but also faux little "r" republicans.

amanda1776 Oct 20, 2010 1:22 AM GMT With election season in full swing, everyone left and right is full of words on how to fix our problems. Whatever your political persuasion, it seems that we all agree on one problem in particular - we have stopped making goods in America. We just keep buying stuff made abroad. So, besides voting with your heart and soul, ***DO SOMETHING*** for our country. Just buy something truly made in the good old USA. Let me give you an example - I am a small business owner in Oregon that makes non-violent, thinking, family/casual computer games. Our titles are just as good as anything on the market, but we cannot get past the massive distribution chains owned by the French/Germans and the Japanese. You say you care about where our country is heading? Alright - prove it by doing something new. Go and see our games for yourself (on ThePlayChannel). If you end up spending a dollar on any of them, your dollar will not cross our borders in the process. Bottom line - any dollar that stays in America is good for America. And if you dont want to spend but still want to help a small US business - then just cut, paste and distribute these words, with the full info on theplaychannel.com"

ps Oct 19, 2010 10:22 PM GMT Lisa and John- You struck gold here. Keep this baby(article) up and running. You have Americana 101 jousting here. Even with the evil Palin picture the discourse on this article (except for Engine Sludge Karl) is what what the BW forum is all about.

Robert Oct 19, 2010 9:26 PM GMT Ever since Bloomberg took over BW it has sunk lower and lower into the swamp of Progressive Propaganda. I thought it was bad when they released "The Hot Hand - Why the Obama Plan Is Working" and tried to suggest a temporarily inflated stock market was a great sign of the wonders of Obamanomics. Now they've really hit the muck with this week's cover story telling us that Business Doesn't Trust the Tea Party. Could BW be any more blatant in electioneering for the progressives? Could BW have found a less attractive picture of Palin to try to scare their readers? I used to enjoy reading BW, but no longer. I don't appreciate the liberal spin and I don't trust the information. What's really telling is that they've stopped printing letters to the editor in the magazine. I'm sure that's because they've received too many letters from people who are tired of the propoganda. Cancel my subscription - I can't stomach another week of BW.

All Together Oct 19, 2010 7:55 PM GMT PS. If you're a small business owner and you're absolutely doing the right thing and right by your employees, then nothing, ABSOLUTELY nothing should scare you. "Rand Paul and Nancy Pelosi" scares me! Sheesh! Do you really want to work for a guy like this? Get out of the Club House and get some courage Farrell.

tightloops Oct 19, 2010 7:41 PM GMT The "rejection" by the SC Chamber was laughable. This is a liberal group using business as a guise. Progressive Insurance doesn't like the TEA groups either. It is, once again, the liberal elite desperately trying to hold onto their power. It's over folks! We're fed-up and we're not going to fund your lifestyle anymore. We're Constitutional Capitalists and you can take your porkulus goverment dependent business and close the damn door. Banks, insurance companies, defense contractors, etc. etc. have lived off the taxpayers of America long enough! Government is too big and too controlling. Bring competition and sound business practices back. If you don't work hard enough or smart enough then.....OH WELL! NO MORE BAILOUTS AND NO MORE PORK!!! Enough is enough!!! We taxpayers are going to make some changes and we advise you to do so as well.

All Together Oct 19, 2010 7:37 PM GMT There are plenty of small businesses out there. If they wanted to hire people they could, but they're greedy and don't want to. If you never worked hand in hand with a small business owner then you have nothing to say. Being an employee doesn't cut it. Have of these small businesses across our country don't even pay their bills on time and you can't blame BIG Government for small business greed. If a small business owner wanted to help the economy they'd start to higher employees and pay higher wages. But that's just not going to happen now is it. And the Tea Party can't do a thing about it. In fact all they do is complain about their pipe dreams about how the world once was. Which was a greedy corrupt place to be if you weren't of a certain race and sex. We need to move on and into the future and give our current President his due respect and a chance. IMHO
